Turns out, it is a small world. The “small world theory,” embodied in the old saw that there are just “six degrees of separation” between any two strangers on Earth, has been largely corroborated by a massive study of electronic communication.
That being said, here’s why:
- It doesn’t make sense to ever allow yourself to be lonely.
- It pays to treat everyone well. You never know who knows who in your life.
- What goes around, comes around. You’ll never really get away with mistreating anyone.
- Treat people well for the sake of knowing what is right. You may not receive a payment for being good to someone but it is the right way to go.
